Esk Antique and Collectable Fair
Easter 2019 sees us at the Esk Antique and Collectable Fair. We are hoping for a lot of travelers who make the most of the long weekend, and would like to add to their wonderful collections, or are inspired to start a wonderful collection.
19 July 2019 saw us set up at the Kedron Wavell Club for the annual Albion Antique Fair. What a lovely event this was and enjoyed by dealers and patrons alike.
This is a quality fair and gave enormous pleasure to the vast crowds of people who visited, many of whom left with some lovely treasures going to new homes.
The following week we travelled up to Pomona on the Sunshine Coast in Qld. This fair is run in conjunction with the King of the Mountain yearly event and is a lovely fair with some equally lovely dealers, including us of course. Whilst the weather was superb, numbers were down a little but still a wonderful weekend.
Rocky Swap was our next adventure the following week. It took us two days to set up for a one day fair and whilst it was a busy event, the pack up was extensive. We get much admiration for the fact that we travel the country side and cart our beautiful china and glassware. Every piece has to be individually wrapped and packed and secured into foam boxes to ensure that they arrive safely at our destinations. At the same time, I fell ill despite having the flu injection so the trip home on Sunday was long and hard.
We did however have a good fair and whilst the swap is generally a place to move stock, we found that this year there was particular interest in some of our finer pieces.
The weekend of 10 and 11 August 2019 saw us travel up to Bundaberg where we set up for the Rotary Antique and Collectable Fair. Wow, what a turn out for a lovely little fair. It was so lovely to see and all the dealers were happy with the attendance. We will definitely be back in 2020.
